Can We Build a Movement? Green Liberty says yes!
Let’s talk about waging peace by calling out imperialism. See this post on ditching the rich as the predicate to peace.
These three media events speak to the search for peace in the world. The Israeli destruction of Gaza is a crisis of the highest order and demands our attention and activism to call out and oppose.
I found this report from Margaret Anna Alice compelling for its peace / anti imperialist narrative.
I found the YouTube video of Chris Hedges’s Gaza Genocide there and found it very moving. Green Liberty is in solidarity with Hedges criticism of Israel as a Zionist imperial project.
Green Liberty endeavors to articulate a sane and coherent response to what is going on in the world. We are in solidarity with Jeremy’s notion of reviving an anti-imperialist movement. But, also consider Gloria’s appeal to the political truth community to develop a coherent criticism of the ‘predator class” that tells big lies to cover up the state crimes.
Jeremy Kuzmarov invites us to reclaim a historical stance and make a movement of it, and Gloria poses a challenge to the truth community to check its values and goals. We need to build a movement for sure. The possibility that being opposed to imperialism could galvanize the masses shouldn’t be dismissed. However, the shadow on the imperial project, especially the Israeli Zionist program against the Palestinians, is the plutocratic cabal that made Israel as a Zionist project, so there would be a Western outpost in the Middle East.
The Israeli people and the Palestinian people are all captive to a plutocratic program of domination. The Israeli’s give up their humanity to dominate a ‘terrorist’ enemy they are programmed to see in every Palestinian. And the Palestinian is forced to live in oppressive conditions, call it apartheid, but it is actually worse what Israel is doing to Palestinians; it’s genocide.
Chris Hedges says a single secular state is the solution and best basis for peace. The Israelis must pay a price for their genocide, and it has to be a single state, secular, and egalitarian, free of any oligarchy.
