Green Liberty National Meeting Features Presentations on Climate Crisis: Pastreich and Rolofson unpack claim that Global Warming is hoax.
We will feature presentations from Emanuel Pastreich and Mark Rolofson, both arguing for an ecological / environmental policy that enables nature to regenerate, would address issues of toxin overload into the atmosphere, water, and land, and will explain the debate about carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases, and how we should be thinking about the environment and human caused eco-disasters.

At the meet up, Emanuel denounced John Spritzler as a “paid infiltrator” but later acknowledged he had no evidence to support this. I, Chuck, requested Emanuel to retract his damning assertion, which he didn’t really do. So, this saddens me, Chuck, to have one friend make a damning accusation against another. I don’t accept Emanuel’s assertion. Here is a link to Emanuel’s thoughts on what happened: https://emanuelprez.substack.com/p/a-serious-debate-on-global-warming
And here is John Spritzler’s response to Emanuel’s substack post: https://johnspritzler.substack.com/p/real-science-versus-climate-alarmism
Animating questions:
Is the debate about CO2 a distraction from the real problem of human caused ecological collapse?
Is humankind at risk of extinction from ecological breakdown caused by numerous factors?
Has capitalist economics in its drive for profit thrown nature under the bus?
Arguing that human society is at risk, Emanuel Pastreich and Mark Rolofson will call for a renewed environmental movement that puts the Green back in Green Party.
We will open the meeting with basic business matters, reports from local Green Liberty contingents, and other matters.
A Word from Our Presenters:
Who is behind the Climate Denial movement and its scientists? The Koch funded CO2 Coalition.

Key Issues Mark will cover:
Why the rise of Carbon Dioxide to 430 ppm is significant.
The irreversible loss of biodiversity will completely disrupt ecosystems, thus resulting in severe hardship for human beings worldwide.
90 percent of the global warming over the last 50 years has occurred in the ocean.
Military pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are exempt from regulation and scrutiny at COP Summits.
The acceleration of the climate crisis from the unprecedented assault on the environment by the Trump Administration, who seeks to gut environmental regulations including ending the Roadless Rule to increase oil extraction and timber harvesting.
The need for a renewed focus on environmentalism and the solutions in the Green Party Platform.
Emanuel Pastreich will present a perspective on climate change he developed for a college course he taught on the topic of global warming.
Appendix:
The dark shadow on humankind is the problem of the plutocracy that has advanced programs that have damaged the ecosystem beyond the ordinary wear and tear of human civilization expansion; plutocracy for lack of an egalitarian inclination has created squalor in society. How do we address the problem of plutocracy and its ruination of the earth’s ecosystem?
